Women’s Emmaus with Yoga

Tuesday Mornings 8:30-10:30 am
Leaders: Kathleen Milnes & Joan Sumpter

Stretch your body and stretch your faith! Our group does a 50-minute yoga practice together, finishing with a yoga meditation during which Scripture or a prayer is read aloud. We then meet to discuss Scripture, share fellowship and pray together. By being still, we create space for the Holy Spirit to move in our hearts and bring clarity to our thoughts. You are invited to join us!

Walking to Emmaus

Tuesday Morning 8:30-10:30 am
Leader: Stephanie Houge

“Were not out hearts burning within us while he was talking to us on the road?” –Luke 24:32
“Emmaus” groups are named after the story in Luke 24: As two of Jesus’ disciples were walking to the town of Emmaus, the risen Christ appeared to them, talked with them and walked with them. In our small group, members talk the talk and walk the walk! Each week, we explore Scripture together, worship together and then take a vigorous walk in our local hills.

Tuesday Night Men’s Group

Tuesday Evenings 8:00-9:30 pm
Leaders: David Reed & Richard Rosser

For years, men's groups have met on Wednesday evenings. This fall, we're charting a new course with a Tuesday evening group. So, for all of you who have passed on joining a group because you were busy Wednesdays, now's your chance! We'll explore our personal spiritual journeys using the following four elements: Mutual Care & Support, Prayer, Biblical Reflection, and Missional Service. In addition, we plan to augment our meetings with music, candlelight vigils, labyrinth walks, and maybe even some Frisbee Golf! Whether you're a seasoned Emmaus participant or a small group newbie, the Tuesday Evening Men's Group is open and waiting for you to join.

The Men’s Group

Wednesday Evenings 8:00-9:30 pm
Leaders: David Carr & Brian Keare

Two words: THE SIMPSONS. Yeah, you read that right. We’ve found a small group curriculum that revolves around the greatest TV comedy ever. If you’ve ever thought about checking out the Men’s Group, now is the time. Make Wednesday night Simpsons Night this fall!

Thursday Early Birds

Thursday Mornings 7:00-8:30 am
Leaders: Susanne Howarth & Jane Anderson

Start your Thursday morning with friendship, prayer and study. This group, led by Susanne Howarth and Jane Anderson, takes a fresh approach to Scripture, often reading contemporary texts to come away with valuable insights that can change our lives – all before 8:30 in the morning!

Thursday Morning Emmaus

Thursday Mornings 7:45-9:30 am
Leaders: Karen Grigsby & Linda Wesson

This group begins the day "on the road to Emmaus." All are welcome to join us as we study, discuss and seek to understand God’s Word in our lives. We are committed to building relationships with each other, sharing our joys and challenges with each other as we reach out to the larger community in meaningful service projects.

Thursday Nighters

Thursday Evenings 7:30-9:00 pm
Leader: Anita Brown

The Thursday night group celebrates the inquiring mind and open heart. In the past the group has used texts such as “What Jesus Meant,” “The Faith Club,” and “A Wing and a Prayer” to explore faith in our everyday lives. We look forward to beginning a lively and in-depth discussion and experiencing true Christian community.

T.G.I.F.

Friday Afternoons 12:00- 2:00 pm
Leader: Kelly Dutka

We invite you to join us in God’s presence as we slow down from our hectic week. We share a simple lunch and begin each meeting with meditative prayer. Through selected reading, sharing and support, we continue our spiritual journeys. Along with sharing fellowship, our group has a strong outreach component. We conclude each week by sharing our intentions and prayer requests, and praying for one another. We welcome you to join us, whether you are new to our Parish community or are continuing your Emmaus journey!
