Capital Campaign Committee Updates
Rev. Bruce Freeman
“I recently asked Jamie Montgomery to be Chairperson of the potential Capital Campaign. If you know Jamie, what follows may be familiar to you. If you don’t, I hope you find it interesting and it helps you understand why I think he’s such a good choice. Jamie brings energy, experience and excitement to this initiative. I look forward to working alongside him.”
Jamie joined St. Matthew’s Parish in 1974 when his family moved to Pacific Palisades. He returned to Los Angeles in 1988 with his wife Annabel. They have raised their four children in the St. Matthew’s Community including the Parish School, Scouts and Day Camp. They have been tireless volunteers and generous donors to the Parish, the Parish School, Scouts and our Outreach Programs. In addition, they have endowed the Montgomery Scholarships, which provide for college education for the children of the sextants and parish staff.Jamie has also served as Chairman of Westmark School where he led the successful “Transformation” Capital Campaign. He also served as Treasurer and Vice Chairman of Brentwood School. He is a founder and Board Member of the Rady School of Business at UC San Diego and a former Trustee of the UC San Diego Foundation. He is currently a Vice Chair of the $2 B Campaign for UC San Diego. Jamie also serves on the Board of the Center for Innovation and Entrepreneurship at Claremont McKenna College. He is a former Trustee of the California Science Center and the Boy Scouts of America – for both of which he helped steer successful capital campaigns.
